
The Alleluia Ringers ring bells and play generally the 4th Sunday of the month for the 10:30 worship service. Practice is weekly. The group is multi-generational and enjoys friendship and fellowship. There are standing members and substitutes who fill in for standing members absences. A love of music and an ability to read basic music notes are the only requirements.
The Banner-Making Group is making colorful sanctuary banners for the varied church liturgical seasons. No sewing experience is needed. Lots of fellowship guaranteed.
This small group makes bread t deliver to people who have lost loved ones, have had recent illnesses or new babies, and visitors to the church. There is also a group who assists by delivering the freshly baked bead. New bakes and deliverers are always welcome.
In the long history of the Medina UCC, the Chancel Choir is the most enduring small group. Various fellowship, service and study groups for men and women have come and gone, but the choir has lasted decade after decade. People of all ages are welcome to join at any time, No auditions are held. A love of singing and ability to read basic music notes are the only requirements. choir members enjoy many benefits; they serve in the worship ministry of our church; they find opportunities for friendship and fellowship; and they receive music lessons.
This group participates in a recreational softball league with several other churches in the Medina area. The players pray and then play a seven inning game that is based on participation, not on competition. Rules are designed to get all ages involved on this "spirit" filled activity.
Circle of caring is a support group for anyone who would like to get to know our older members who are home-bound or nursing home-bound. It is also a support group for those who are already visiting older friends and family members. At meetings, we share ideas about visiting, how to include youth through crafts and visiting and ways to help everyone continue to feel valued. Visits can be make whenever it is convenient.
The Craft Group makes small items for Circle of Caring visitors to deliver to nursing home and home-bound members of the church. No experience is necessary. Join in the fun. All ages are welcome. Watch the Pilgrim Messenger for dates and times.
Women who meet together in christian fellowship make up Esther Circle. Meetings consists of devotions, a brief business
discussion, a program and dessert.
Occasionally the group brings in a speaker, views a video, or studies UCC material. Esther Circle has an annual Lenten
Luncheon for all women of the church, helps serve at other church functions, makes up kits for Church World Service,
and collects items for local missions.
The people who lead the church Contemporary Worship service meet each Monday evening to plan the worship services.
Game Night Group is a gathering of adults and families with children (ages 12 & up.) Game topics vary from cards to board
games that are playable by large groups. The responsibility for hosting the game night is shared each month by a
different person(s) or family. Light snacks and beverages are provided by both the host and group.

Meetings are planning meetings to coordinate meals taken to church members who have incurred an illness or other crisis in their family that makes having a meal provided a special blessing. church members sign up to volunteer to make the meals.
The Gourmet Cooking Group consists of people who are passionate about food. They learn new skills, share creative ideas, and enjoy fellowship with other members of the church. Led by Eric Whyard, a professional chef and member of the church. The group meets monthly. It has enjoyed preparing a full luncheon for over 200 people on pledge Sunday, cooking for the 50-year members luncheon, as well as a gourmet meal for the 2003 "Music Under the Stars" benefit gala.
The Joyous Message Ministry (JMM) provides monthly worship services to six different long-term-care or senior residential homes in Medina county. The "Worship Team" for each service consists of a Worship Leader, a Musician and a Helper. A service is prepared for the teams each month and team members are encouraged to personalize the service as they choose. This is a wonderful, much appreciated mission to the elderly of our community. It is highly rewarded and spiritually transforming for all participants.
The Weight Loss Support Group meets bi-monthly to encourage people who struggle with weight loss to discover a permanent way to lose weight, exercise and become healthier individuals.
Breakfast, fellowship and a short devotional time and enjoyed once a month
The quilters meet to hand quilt projects which are "commissioned" (that is for an agreed fee,) and they complete quilting projects. Their income is used to support either the church endowment, or other church needs/projects. At noon, those who would like to participate have a brown bag lunch and share their faith as it relates to a topic in a chosen resource. Everyone is welcome to come and quilt on the projects or bring their won project to work on. anyone who would like to learn will gladly be taught. Those who would like to come for the noon sharing only are welcome to join that part of the day.
Kelly and Stacie are meeting every Friday. Anyone interested in getting their photographs organized in a fun and interesting manner is welcome to join them. This is the way to get your pictures out of the drawer or box and into albumns.
This group meets twice a week for a challenging walk around Medina City residential neighborhoods. Beginner and advanced walkers are welcome. Walking pattern varies from walk to walk. East, West, North or South, they cruise the city streets! Join them for a one mile stroll or even a four mile calorie burner. It's easy to do when you are among friends. No reservations are necessary. Morning walks will be arranged.
