We begin our new worship series: Who Are You? We’ll focus on identity and purpose. The beginning of the calendar year has us reassessing our direction in life. We make resolutions. We vow to be better people. We sign up at the gym (again).  This worship series will take us to Lent. We’ll take the deep journey into the question “Who Are You?” We will discover that who we are is indelibly linked to “Whose we are.” At the end of the worship series, it is my sincere hope that you’ll be able to write a 1-3 sentence identity and mission statement. Mine is: Part Dinosaur, Part Theologian; on a mission to rehumanize the church. To find out what that means, check out the first sermon in the series by clicking here.

Many struggle with finances, especially after the holiday season. Church member Rob Kaiser is bringing Financial Peace University (FPU) here. The first session is January 9th, it’s free and we’ll be playing the game CASH FLOW. Sometimes games help us talk about things that are uncomfortable to talk about. Like our use of money. Then Rob will guide us through FPU. There is a cost for this event. If you’re a church member, you’ll pay half. Non-church members will pay full price. Click here to sign up.

We’ll have a new member class on Monday January 13 at 7 p.m. Childcare is available upon request. New member Sunday will be Sunday, January 26 at all three services.

We’re off to a great 2020!

Grace and peace!
-Pastor Luke
